Since very young age I had a particular interest for products. How do they work, look, feel, etc. Always taking them apart and putting back piece by piece together.
With time, I realized the value some objects have, as they start to become more of an extension of us rather just simple accessories. That's when I started to put names to my most beloved objects. For example; The laptop I'm writing this text with is called William Mc. Fly, my carbon fiber extension with two wheels and pedals is called Falco, and I could keep going on. Maybe that's the reason I decided to study Industrial Design.
Before graduation, I got to work together with a friend (Guido Figliuolo), he had the idea to reuse trashed materials and develop products y had the resources to develop those ideas. Together we grew a Start-up called KOOX, entrepreneurship focused on the development of backpacks and accessories. Among all the great experiences, the most outstanding ones were; Launching a collection of 12 products, generating low impact to the environment, learning how to grow a business from scratch and developing personal skills.
My role as a Designer was to take care of the Product design and full development, organising the production, developing the strategies for communication as well as designing and constructing the selling points/ stands for product fairs.
By that time there were a lot of enriching experiences, specially working together with experienced people from the Graphic Design field, Marketing, Branding, Business development, etc. But the most significant by was acquiring the knowledge of how to grow a Start-up, combined with how to develop a product from an idea.
In 2018 my ambition drove me to fly away from my home town, Mar del Plata and land in Berlin. Once based in the city, I learnt the language until a fluent professional level, and I decided to expand my career to include digital products. Therefore, I studied UX Design (6 months) intense curse at CareerFoundry which provided me with a wide variety of new tools.
I always got driven by passion, that's what really describes me. One of my life engines is playing drums. Somehow It was a conscious decision to play them, just came naturally. I remember constructing my own kits with cans and buckets, playing along Blink 182. Through time, I found my way to become a better at it, studying and playing always in more than one band, to become a “Professional Hobby”.
Today I play Jazz and Funk in a band called Ask Gonzalo in Berlin, recording our first Vinyl last 2023 at Humboldt University Berlin.
Brand development is something that always caught my attention, it really got interesting when I took part on a one year course about Brand Development with Maximiliano Fulquet, where I learnt how to go from the basic communication strategy, to the logo sketches, then Illustrating with vectors and finally developing the Brand Visual Manual.
Illustration is something that is already incorporated in my DNA thanks to my beloved mother, who I greatly admire and always have as source of inspiration.
